Tamron SP AF70-200mm F/2.8 Di LD (IF) Macro

i no the this 70-200 is F2.8 but how does this compare to tamron newly launched 28-300mm with VC (i.e. IS)??? any comments? i was thinking of getting the 28-300mm cos it has the VC it is about SG$900.00 too.

f/2.8 will always be f/2.8

You can't stop motion with VC, but you can stop motion with a f/2.8 lens.

at f/2.8 is reasonably sharp, and nice colour/contrast too
