Hi guys,

Any of you interested to buy the VC lens in jb? I'm trying to look for more pple to buy together so that we can ask for a better price. I personally know this shop in Angsana as my friend and I had bought a Nikon D90 and Canon 50D from there. He quote me RM1900 for the Tamron 17-50 VC.

RM 1900 = around $788?
but it will be Malaysian Warranty is it?

Hong Kong site are selling between HKD$3900-$3990 for the new 17-50mm VC for both Nikon and Canon mount... too bad for Canon mount is out of stock for now, Tin Cheung does has one last copy n they r selling it at HKD$4300. Rate as per last wk is S$1 = HKD$5.54

This lens are not shown on their site but they do carry this lens. I visited them last wk when I was in HK... was told that new stocks will arrive only in two weeks.

argh.. yeah the link isn't working and the cam2 place doesnt diclose prices on the phone.. I'm heading to hk later this month but would you happen to know their warranty policies? Need to weigh the pros and cons before deciding where to get the vc model.

Sry for the late reply, was busy with work.

Ya, dunno y cartcart site is down, was no problem at all when my last visit... alternative u can go to their U.S site at http://www.plemix.com <<< now they increased the price to HKD$4500. Zzzz

About the Cam2 shop, they quoted me HKD$3900 for this VC and the warranty are x12 mths under the shop, mean this lens is a water goods... same goes for the rest of the shops I guess, even Tin Cheung are water goods as well. But the sale person at TC told me you can request for an international warranty card. JEL Corp Singapore do honor the service, have to provide the international warranty card n purchase receipt when u r there.

Citicall, Broadway and Fortress dun carry this Tamron brand, other shops all bo stocks.
Price range r from HKD$3900-$4500.
