Need some advices..

I've try the tamron 90mm, the result is good however is there any way to get a even close up shot?? feel that the macro not that really macro leh for the tamron 90mm leh.. ;p

Got other lens which provide a closer close up macro shooting like eg. can really see fine details for small insect?? Or you jus need some convertor or stuff to do the trick??

You were shooting at 1:1 magnification already?

The most effective way to get more magnification is to get a set of extension tubes; this method will not compromise on image quality at all.

Tamron 90 like others had mentioned, can already achieve 1:1.

For Canon user, you can consider MPE-65 if you want to shoot high magnification shots. It can achieve up to 5:1.

TO ensure u r @ 1:1, rotate the manual focusing ring to the closest focusing distance and move towards your subject till it comes into focus. Realise that the depth of field would be pretty shallow, hence u prob would hv to stop down to around ~f13 or more.

if u want EVEN more magnification, yes, extension tubes as mentioned would help, you could also attach close-up lenses

AFAIK, the ONLY lens that does more than 1:1 (without additional accessories) would be canon's MP-E 1-5x

Taken with a ring flash for example. This lens is almost 135mm for Digital format.
