Di-I can be used on both full frame, and all cropped formats. It simply means the coatings are designed to be "optimised" for digital. Di-II is designed only for 1.5/1.6x crop, and is not intended for use on full frame or larger crop, small format cameras. Have a slow reread at the Tamron website to clarify things.
