Tammy/sigma 70-200


So far from what I hear, the Canon seems to be the one with better IQ. When you get a F2.8 70-200 zoom, you really intend to shoot it at F2.8. That is why you pay more, and carry a much heavier lens. Canon 70-200/4 is much smaller and lighter.

Thanks for your input bro, I think a second hand copy of the 70-200 2.8 IS Mk I is what I will get. Since the QC at Sigma is not so fantastic (though I hear it is improving) and the value of third party lenses also depreciate pretty fast.

Not the OS version is it? Still cheap... the OS Version the panning mode OS is very good though...
 

Sigma ver1 and ver2 with OS is miles apart and should not be confused with each other. Most -ve comments read online are for ver1.

The newer OS model has been getting rave reviews..
