Hello,

Need some advice on taking pictures for indoor events. Which type of lens and camera settings is most appropriate for this event. May encounter low lighting condition. Currently i have a D70 with 18-70mm lens. Any tips?

Typically, for indoor events, I'll use ISO400 1/60 f/3.5, Flash with bounce card for close range shots.

If flash isn't allowed, then either pump up the ISO or use a faster lens. You could also drop the shutter speed, but that's not advisable unless you are confident you can get a sharp shot with that.
