Got Da S & Siao S a not? :bsmilie: :bsmilie: :bsmilie:

Missed going for this year's. Was there last year and the year before.
Need very good walking shoe to cover the grounds.
Packed with people and eye candies.

Actually, cannot compare Computex with our hopeless PC shows in SG.

In Computex, with the very very small exception , no sales transacation are seen. Except for perhaps some samples. It is B2B discussion. Our PC show is another leylong place for end users.

Hey Plastic, dun forget to sign up for the foreign buyers tour on Friday and Saturday. I enjoyed the dargon boat races last year with the other buyers and to see the ang moh dipping the chinese dumplings with ketchup !! Made a few friends also....

have fun

Thanks for the tip. I did not sign up for the foreign buyers tour... don't have time to do these PR things, I have already left Taiwan. Have a lot of work to follow up after this... too much info to process and write report... but its my first trip there and its an eye opener... the Taiwan IT industry muscle is something to be reckoned with... and you are right, there are no transactions there... I had to wrestle someone from Lexar to sell me a Firewire card reader... (dual pass is good, foreign buyer and press)... ha ha ha... the press pass convinced them...

Lexar folks are really nice, and they have so much new technology that is going to be released in the coming months targetted at photograpers... Though they cost a little more than the competition, but the painstaking process of making their products consistent is something other manufacturers have to learn from...

If all goes well, I will be able to work out special deals with Lexar for CSers. Keep your fingers and toes crossed.
