A model, or would-be model agrees to give up her time and pose for a photographer who agrees to provide her/him with a selection of images for her/his portfolio.

For a model just starting out it can be a good way to pick up modelling experience and some images to start her/his book. For the photographer it gives him/her experience of trying different things and working with various models.

Hi all, I am a 20 year old, all film photographer seeking creative models to work with on some of my outdoor/abstract photography projects. My niche areas are themed shots that are geared towards a highly emotive drive. I am not seeking drop dead gorgeous, magazine cover models that boast insane numerics on their body measurements. Rather, I'm seeking confident, cool models who're willing join me in my venture into more unique forms of photography, and build up on their own personal portfolio at the same time.
