Switching over to 4/3 system, which one to get?

Oh my, GX1 does look nice. Still thinking very hard which to get & the idea of selling the entire DSLR system I have now is a bit difficult, after a lot of time & $ was spent on it

I sold my 5DmkII with some lenses earlier this year as i have the same problem with travelling with it. I am currently using the Olympus EP3 and getting use to it with the kit lens before looking for other lenses. I have no regrets moving over as lugging my camera out for family phototaking is no longer a hassle as i don't even a big bag now.

I have 5D2 and GF1 currently, and I suggest you consider keeping the 5D2. If budget is a concern, one option is GF1, which is now going for like SGD 300, add one or 2 good lens, that will probably give you a decent setup for less then 1k. Give you one more reason to keep your 5D2, your Canon lens can be adapted to be use on the m43 system, though you will loose the AF & Apperture control. I fix a 2x convertor with 400 L lens on the GF1, that gave me a setup of 1600mm equivalent focal length.

Anyway, don't expect m43 to even come close to 5D2 in terms of image quality. You may still want that at certain occasion. If money is no object, my suggestion is go for the newly launched GX1, + 7-14, Oly 45/1.8, Pana 20/1.7, Oly 12, and a 45-200 from either brand, you will be traveling light and shooting sweet images.

Yes, withdrawal symptom is definitely something I'm worried about. I love my FF but dislike the weight.

When I'm traveling nowadays it's for business trip, I can't possibly be lugging a DSLR, it's simply too cumbersome. So hence looking at a mirrorless system. If I'm to get a compact cam, I will complaining about it rather than shooting with it.

Bro, if you have budget to blow ... Leica M9 will give you FF and portability!

Made my move from 1dsmk2 24-70 50 1.4 580ex2 to ep3 12, 20, 25. Save money, save weight. No regrets. Still good pics. But of course cant compare to ff. But u find u ll b more willing to whip it out n snap.

To me, oly makes good colours n best of all IBIS.... Hehe, any lens old (legacy, leica, fd, om) or new will have IS.
But pana g3 is great cos hav swivel screen
Up to u

Like Chopper, I have 5D2 and GF1 currently. GF1 was bought for family outings & oversea tour. Recently, need to go for a business trip, brought the GF1 with the kit lens and 20mm f/1.7. Put them together with my laptop bag. Mostly use the kit lens. Good enough quality as it can shoot raw+jpeg. The Jpeg is great most of the time. Did not want to buy any longer lenses as the built in 2x & 4x digital Zoom is more than enough for far away objects and still good quality if the light is good. But hardly use it. Going for another longer Business trip soon. Will bring the GF1 again.
Any mirrorless camera you like will be better than 5D2 for business trip.
My GF1 is getting old and sign of dying after heavy use for many family outing and tours since 2009.
May move to NEX 7 or GX-1 when GF1 dies:angel:

I am using 5D2 and E-PL2. The latter with 20/1.7 can be carried around in my pant pocket and it's kinda the whole point. Heard rumors that Sony E-mount 30/2 is coming. Now if only NEX focuses faster and has an ISO hotshoe.
