Suzhou to Shanghai with a Lumix LX3

dude, are the films cheaper there?

Film in China is CHEAP.

A little OT about film:
Once I took a box of Kodak Ektar to China, and they were all killed at the Singapore custom. I told them it was film for serious work, they told me the film scanner are 'OK'. No, they were NOT ok. The whole box of film was fogged. I took one roll, developed in a reliable lab in China, and it was all fogged. I tried another roll back in Singapore, and the fogging was confirmed. The same batch of Kodak film was tested ok before I left for China.

Those were 120 film. For 135 film, it appears ok even for ASA400. I think the canister block out the radiation somewhat.

Now, I only buy film in China. I dont carry film thru the Singapore immigration anymore. There has been too many instances they toasted the film. I use digital as backup.

As I use Shanghai / Guangzou as entry points into China, they are ok for me.
