Suspected trader in clubsnap

I am also skeptical about sellers who put their contact numbers alpha numeric...eg 9 double 1 two three 4 5. or 9.1.1.234.5 etc etc. The number for illustration only.

Using multiple permutations or combinations, their contact numbers may take sometime to search and they can get away with multiple accounts.

Perhaps the contact number should be set to numeric only. Just a suggestion. :)

I see nothing wrong with putting contact number in alphanumeric (I do). Clubsnap is a public webpage and contact numbers are quite private info. If I put my number just numeric, it can be easily searched on Google.

If for the sake of hunting down traders easily, the privacy of users are compromise, its not fair to the rest of us.

If there is nothing to hide from potential buyers or sellers, why the concern of being searched on the internet or for that matter in the forum?

Anyway, my post is just a suggestion that I thought others should look out for. I would just avoid such sellers or buyers altogether. Period.

i never post my number out. then again, simple things such as looking at post count can keep you out of trouble.

There are many concerns outside this forum. Things like telemarketeers, for example. But I do get your point. Another viable suggestion using a 'contact seller' function, where sellers can be notified via sms via computer system first before liasing the deal. Or that every account holder here need to submit physical copies of identification before the account is activated, much like online trading accounts. But that would be too much for simple forum like this.

If the user is on static IP. However I believe that for most residential users, our ISPs is using Dynamic IPs so it's not feasible. Plus, you can always use proxies anyways.
 

Actually, what wrong with traders in clubsnap bns ? Because never pay rental ?

For me as buyer, I don't really care as long as I like the equipment and price right?
 

haha.. it's seems like this is a full time trader having so much time to compare, study, search, negotiate, etc, for product to trade..

to me I think, it's all up to your threshold.. if one think that the price offered is ridiculously out, just ignore loh (unless its yourself who overrated your product and priced it way above normal bns price, or hoping for a "carrot" to appear.. keke)

there's always someone who wants to try their luck.. :)
