Surprise from Olympus!

Last year Oly announced the C700UZ, one month after the PMA2001.
Will they repeat this year with a model that combines both C2100 and C700 plus extra features like 3 megapixels or perhaps with dual SM and CF slots?

The Oly E-100RS already has both SM + CF slots and 10x IS zoom, except that it's onli 1.5MP....

The problem is that Oly may be able to put in a 3.3MP CCD but it may wind up like the Canon Pro90IS whereby onli 2.6MP of that CCD is usable.

Also, Oly's rights to use Canon's IS lens technology may had expired already. Even if not, to fully utilize the 3.3MP or larger CCD may required a redesign of the lens....making it bulkier and heavier....u saw the 5x zoom lens on the Sony F707???

Anyway, I shall keep my fingers crossed, who knows we may be plesantly surprised soon.

I saw the 100RS in Tokyo. Was quite tempted to buy ;p
