For some cars that have rear fog lights, do turn them on when visibility is poor. As for cars with no rear fog lamps, in heavy rain and poor visibility situations, if u must, turn on a signal blinker as this will increase visibility without confusing other drivers too much.

With regards to rear fog lamps , please don't turn them on when there is no rain / fog. I have come across inconsiderate drivers on the road that do this . Not only do you announce your ignorance on how to use the rear fog lights, you are also blinding the drivers behind you.

In some countries, hazard lights are required when you travel at slow speeds on certain highways. B'cos of the large differential in speed, it warrants the use of hazard lights. IMO, I feel it's good to do so, if you are on the extreme left lane, going slower than other cars and have no intention to change lanes..
