Sunsniper Camera strap advice

At least for me, yes any object is breakable its just a matter of how much force is applied to the object that will be broken. ;p

TS stretch it with a car?

No I used it to whip the elephant that ran amok........well what is a strap for? no where did the instruction say it need to be handled with care and carry up to a certain load (Camera of course plus lens) I used mainly on my D3s and 70-200VR2.....screw direct onto the lens without tripod feet.

I have sent back to Sunsniper in German, postage cost $12.05 (Inclusive of registered mail option) It will take 2 weeks to get there, the 2 day sevice cost about $59.....so will wait and see the outcome.

how did you screw the thing into the lens? where did you screw it into, i don't recall seeing any recesses on the lens for a screw,

....remove the feet...there is a hole below it to screw into...I normally screw my monopod direct for a lower profile too.

what type of use could possibly break a steel wire which is meant to protect against theives with cutters?

Don't forget, steel, although strong, can also be brittle. Just take a steel core clothes hanger, and twist it a few times and see if it breaks or not.

.....anyway....any takers for a brand new in the box sunsniper?....got this from Kirk so looking for buyer for the Sunsiper......:
http://www.kirkphoto.com/Kirk_Security_Strap.html great and comes with a QR plate that can mount a monopod......can use on my 300mm2.8 without issue.
