Basic Daylight Exposure Guide

BDE, exposure is relative to the distance from the BDE which remains constant. Computation of exposure is easy, the proper f/stop will be f/16 (sunny 16 rule) when using a film speed approximate to your shuuter speed. As an example:

Film Speed is 200, your shutterspeed will be 1/250 at f/16. Film speed rated at 64, your shutterspeed will be 1/60 at f/16. The same would apply to a film speed of 125, your shutterspeed will be 1/125. As another example, take the later film speed of 125, and these exposures would be the equivalents: 1/125 @ f/16; 1/250 @ f/11; 1/500@ f/8; 1/2000 @ f/4; 1/60 @ f/22

Could someone check if I'm correct?

I found my father's old Nikon EM camera but the metering no longer works. However, I can set it to always use 1/90 for the shutter speed. So if I'm using ISO 400 film, on bright sunny day, my ideal shutter speed at f/16 would be 1/400 correct?

Now, since I'm stuck with only 1/90, I would need to increase my aperture to f/8 for the same exposure. Correct?

using iso 400 film? if u are stuck at 1/90, u shld be stopping down to f/32 to get the same exposure.

yes, using ISO 400 film on a sunny day condition you should have f16 and 1/400s (using 1/500 will don't have much different since mechanical shutter don't have 1/400s)

the follow combinations are have the same exposure value
f32, 1/125s
f22, 1/250s
f16, 1/500s
f11, 1/1000s
f8, 1/2000s
