Just throwing some info around, tested the Sigma 70-200 OS HSM, OS work fine, its feels lighter than the Nikkor VR1/VR2, quite sharp across the range... price wise almost 1K cheaper than the VR2. HSM rocks~~!!

what i love most abt this lens is that its zoom ring is located at the front,

super tempted but too bad, i was held back by a strong unforeseen set back..

also sharing the same pic as the first one i posted earlier.. spot the diffs....

I have been religiously camping around a NorthWest place (recently).. anyone is welcome to join me.. if they dont mind mud at least ankle deep.. If ZCA talking about City Newbie's Outing.. guess I do need to organise one.. 16th or 30th are possible dates.. but can only organise if the "seniors" here can turn up to help... Do update if people are keen..

I think sfoto100 would like to join some of us one day to shoot landscapes.
No I wasn't specifically referring to newbie outings, coz I seriously doubt he's newbie Just the smaller-scale ones we organize from time to time (weekends, weekday evenings, etc).
We not arrowing you to organize Newbies Outing leh bro.... hehehehe.
but if you are organizing, I am free to help out on the 30th. Before that a bit hectic.

Of course you may! And TCSS too?
CT was gonna recommend a shooting spot, but no sound from him. I haven't really gone to recce the area yet. Otherwise worst-case scenario is back to the overhead bridge, and hope for decent sunset.

The deviation into BG relationship was fun.. and this is Kopitiam, so any topic is FINE.. LOL

With regards to sfoto100, apologies if I have unintentionally linked you to a "newbie".. for smaller scale outings, it is very much camp at this thread and see how and when things crop up.. remember the one that Jacobs started, we decided in 25mins flat on the location and place to go.. LOL... Think there is one Tmr.. but CT got to confirm details.

As to Newbies Outings - I dont feel "arrowed" la.. have indicated that I will help organise at least one (give back).. but I need support from the Seniors.. else no one to guide and no one to help poison la... Thanks ZCA, 1 senior aOK.. so Tentative Date 30th April?.. are others aOK?.. place? any suggestions? .. me can only think about beach, mudland, etc... (currently.. LOL)

wah wanna tekan the Newbies har?
Well for those type of outings, there are a number of 'restrictions', in my opinion:
1) Should be fairly central and accessible, in order to be fair to those from all over Singapore, and also those that take public transport.
2) Should be some place that they can go back to again, in order to try and repeat in future with hopefully better results.

Hence we seem to keep going back to town area coz it fulfils the main criteria.
Maybe near CT and Bert's "homeground" got somewhere conducive for 'firing squad'?
