Aiya, if you try to get newbies to go into water and get underwear wet, they will scold you also. :bsmilie::bsmilie: LOL. The key in those outings is for them to start the ball rolling, to ask questions so they can get the basics down. After that, they can start going off on their own to grow more. Look at some of the people who started in the newbie outings. Some are getting really good.

People want to be sarcastic let them be loh. I don't see them trying to help the community back with real actions rather all lip service. So why bother with them. They are more comfortable with keeping within their inner circle. Let them be. Everyone has to start somewhere. Everyone was a newbie once. No need to be so stuck up. No need to be all elitist about it, and turn around to claim that they are protecting the spirit of photography. LOL. Crock of bull.

We do our thing, they do theirs. Well water don't mix with river water. But if they try to mix, we will mix back loh.

Not just the basics. Shooting in a group allow newbies like me to observe under the same conditions what can be achieved from the better ones. I kinda shadow the 'sifus' without been obtrusive and follow and observe them. how's their work flow on the actual shoot like, how they managed the scene, learn to observe ambient light and what it can do to your photo and it still is an on going progress now. At the end of shoot, the one on one comment and critique on what work and what doesn't, is most helpful. It help to kick start acquiring the photographer's eye and mind. Reading up helps but nothing beats that one on one cnc.

Had really salty hotdog sausages at home... wah lau... wash and boil 2 or 3 times to get rid of the salt... si beh unhealthy...

I have my 'mobile dry cabinet' + tripod today.
Yesterday went to recce the "dog place", since I was in the area looking at customer's sites... Now it's very accessible by vehicle (20mtrs walk from car ), but the surrounding is under a lot of construction.

Yesh I went in from the opposite end, but bridge is still closed and the view isn't so great coz of huge construction on the opposite bank. I didn't really have lots of time to walk around and recce... just general survey. My colleague was glad I brought him there. He'll be back for fishing in the near future
