according to some internet source (dunno zhun or not), the recommendations made by RECORD V committee have been accepted by Mindef.
According to Mindef, NSmen must safe-keep their devices in the lockers provided and use them only within the compounds of the business centres. NSmen are allowed to bring laptops or BlackBerry Smartphones with camera to camp, but they must be kept at the business centre and can only be used inside the business centre.
not bad la... but leave laptop in locker in the business centre, quite scary. I thought can use in the bunk with my USB stick.
Maybe I just bring my ipod touch. It's got no camera, and should be able to pick up the wifi in the "business centre".

Yes, u addressed ur own doubt..
Our battalion got one guy fined $100 for bringing laptop in (one of contraband items)
Rationale being, there's a high chance ppl might transfer any classified military info out of the camp..

Just back from new place. Still one last issue for contractor to sort out
but otherwise everything else been fixed (for the 9th time). As of last conversation, other half seems more open to getting cleaners to clean the place up by now (especially after last weekend's two day gone wiping stuff down). Seems like Sat I'm free now... free to clean up current place and pack things up
