I like this shot. Very soothing colours

Yes, when it is very dark, it is hard to focus on anything.

That is why some of us use hyperfocal distance focusing... Try it, it works...

Read this to learn how to do it.

hmm.. I shall try it the next round... Looks simple i wonder i could achieve it..

Skylover , look at my picture #1 and #2 . I tried hyperfocal and I used this formula :
focal length x Focal length/CoCxF number = Hyper focal
But you must not use crop factor .
Think it's focus in the picture and I think quite good , but I'm still learning .
:)
thanks.. i read that before. But not too sure how it really works..
that morning i was using manual focus and was doing what all of you mentioned but seems like I maybe doing it wrongly.. =/

Think most of us got the shot from this angle. Nothing special.

Hi Daniel, you managed to get some nice sky and reflections here.

However you'll notice that the roof of the pavilion is blended in with the trees in the background and that is something undesirable. This was also something that DD123 mentioned to the participants at the beginning of the shoot. Just something to take note of when you shoot at the same location going forward. ;)

Ya i realized that too... but didn't know how to correct it in PP.. so just left it alone..

this pic was just a snapshot... when you all were discussing whether to have prata, i jus jumped over the wall and decided to catch a photo of the pavilion at least.. cos the whole morning i was away from that area...

wah nice photos...I think LP is still best taken during sunset instead of sunrise

I guess this is something you cannot salvage much during PP. Gotta get it right from the onstart. Nevermind, next time just take note lor..if you're ever going back there to shoot again ;)

By the way, where is Chilicrab1's posts? Haven't seen him since the outing.... eating chilli crabs again? :bsmilie:
