Summilux 50mm ASPH - The non Leica option

Totally agree with DoveVadar, the latest summicron is a amazing . The micro contrast is so high that when I zoom in 100x there's so much details . The other lens that is very good and amazing is the CV 50mm f3.5 .

Why never consider the canon 50mm f1.4 ltm??? Very sharp lens also

A good J-3 would do just fine, IM(not so)HO :)

i went for the canon 1.4, but the wait to try it out is killing me as I've not received my m body yet..;(

btw any recommendations on cheap lens hood for the canon? read it has a 48mm thread..

I'm not very comfortable with LTM mount on M bodies, especially if it's a fast lens. The LTM-to-M adapter can sometimes make the coupling off and hence focusing also off???

Anyway, here's my new toy :)

Definitely but that'll have to wait till end of August as I'm on holiday with a compact only :)
My initial impression agrees with what all the "shi-fu"s have mentioned - not very sharp wide open. I think the contrast is good enough for my taste.

Thanks again for all the inputs
