Suggestions to Critique Corner

I suggest creating a poll for every new thread under the Critique Corner. In this way, visitors, especially those who do not have a good grasp of photography to give any technical critique, to the thread can indicate whether they like or dislike the photograph. From there, photographer can sense the receptivity of the visitors to his or her photograph.

Technically possible to automate creation of poll with new thread in Critique Corner?

sounds like a nice idea, but I think the idea of a critique would involve a lot more than just saying if a picture is nice or not.. and for the photographer to improve on where he went wrong, rather than just being satisfied if his picture is voted mostly 'likeable', and clueless about what is wrong if most people vote its 'not likeable'.. :dunno:

The idea is to get those who can only comment "that's cool!", "I love it!" and "#2 is my pick!", etc. in the Critique Corner to just vote :thumbsup: or :thumbsd:. In this way, thread can be less lengthy.

the objective of having a critque corner and for members to post their photos there is to get honest feedback, be it technical or artistic view. if members are looking for 1 liner comment like "good" or "bad", they have other sub-forum to post.

it had been thoroughly disscussed before setting this critque corner, but what you are suggesting is to put it into reverse gear.:dunno:

Non-constructive comments --> dun post, just vote.

thought this options is available in the Galleries, there are 10 radio buttons to Rate the photo from Poor to Excellent and able to add comments as well.

Did not explore the Gallery site personally. Maybe that feature could be imported here.

members posting comments in Critique Corner are taking very seriously, Non-constructive comments or post like good shot, crap shot, the post will be removed without warning.

if members looking for this type of comments, can post their works in many others galleries.

There is a similiar function in the forums. Its called Thread Ratings and you can rate the thread from 1 to 5.

That's some what close to intention but i reckon most viewers dun do that?
