You think he will pay for the COE?
Competitions have to be unhealthy, otherwise they are not attracting the masses. Circus Maximus, Panem et CircensisI personally don't like such gimmick, especially eating the most amount of food within certain time. Can't they think of a healthier competition and anyway this has been going on too long.
Just sell the car..... and buy Leica :bsmilie:

“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.”Personally I feel that the Subaru Challenge is one of the stupidest thing you can do. After standing there for so long I am sure all the participants except one will feel really really stupid.
“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.”
― Albert Einstein
The theory of parallel universes somewhat implies that there is a form of separation between universes, thus it cannot be infinite, looking from outside.
How much time will be wasted? But if there is a Ferrari or Lamborghini challenge, please let me know. ;p :embrass:
unless someone die else this challenge will carry on and on and on...
Actually I think that such marketing will instead be damaging to the branding of a premium marque. While I really like some of the Subaru models, their marketing is a little strange and seem to be targetting Ah Bengs.
How about whoever with his hand on Miss Singapore Universe the longest gets to marry her? :bsmilie:
Can consider using it in place of balloting for HDB flats...
The Subaru Challenge 2013 has finally concluded after 75 hours with the winner relieved his ordeal of touching the car is over. However, his relief was turned into shock when he was told he had to pay the $90,000 COE to drive the car home.
Eyewitnesses said the second place winner who dropped out was initially upset for barely not winning the car, but his sorrow turned to joy when he realised he didn’t even have $90,000 to begin with.
The second place winner, Nor Mani, said: “No wonder on the first day 394 contestants dropped out already.”
“They must have gotten the message that the $90,000 COE was not included.”
Good idea, and also for COE. What is the point of winning a car without COE?

I was wrong to say that everyone except one felt stupid after participating, actually every loser except the winner felt joyous. Crazy marketing.
The news in the link is not true.. it fake news. Except the parts which it doesn't come with COE, most of contests, or almost all contests, the winning car doesn't come with COE anyway. Only the car without all the other tax.
Just another news to stir big to bring down Singapore.
According to CNA report, the 1st runner run (aka 2nd place winner) is Sunawr Ali.
Not Nor Mani (No Money).
But even if it true.. I will be shocked that he didn't know COE not included.
