& I thought I was fickle minded & kept buying stuff!

85mm f1.8, less than a few month, i upgrade to 85mm f1.4

EF 75-300mm.

Used it less than 5 times because the IQ was so lousy. Ended up buying an L. Wasted $300
Bought a 2nd-hand old version of this lens from a CS-er. Was very very new that time so didn't know how to check for defects, until a few days later when I did a thorough cleaning, found that there was this 'speck of dust' which wouldn't come off no matter how I clean it. Came here as well as Google for answer and found out that it was actually fungus in the interior of the lens! Tried contacting the seller via PM & SMS but no replies (obviously trying to avoid me lah). Quickly posted in B/S forum and fortunately another CS-er who didn't mind the fungus bought it a month later. :sweat:

Still lost some $$$ selling it...:cry:

My stupidest cam gear purchase would be the Nikon 70-200VR F2.8. I spent $2.4k on it, after buying I seldom use it coz very sianz to carry such a heavy lens around and I dun really much events or sports.. After using for 2 months, I sold it off at $2.2k.

It should be my camera bag. Don't like the strain on one shoulder. Should have purchase a backpack with 2 straps.

Should be this 360-degree-camera:

360-degree-camera.jpg

my sigma 70-200...... :bsmilie::bsmilie:

Lotsa stupid things done before getting the current setup...

Ricoh GX-100 -> Nikon D80 -> D200 -> D300
18-200 + 50/1.4 -> 28-70 -> 20/2.8 + 50/1.4 + 85/1.4 -> 24-70
Slingshot 200 -> CompuDayPack -> Crumpler KeyStone -> TTP Change Up -> Glass Taxi + Modulus Pouches -> Change Up -> Urban Disguise 40 -> Urban Disguise 50 -> Airport Antidote + more Modulus Pouches

and all these gotten, sold and gotten again within a year...

may be able to buy one more lens with the money lost :cry:

Dun worry... I have 2 shoulder bags, 2 backpacks... and I think I will still get more along the way... :bsmilie: :sweat:

PS : I bought a trolley for the shoulder bag too. Ease the load.

didn't the seller make it a point to tell you before the deal ?
did you ask for 1 week personal warranty ?
fungus in the lens sure have to lose a bit of money to sell away, no choice mah unless you go for internal cleaning at the service center.

Lowepro Rover II AW.

concept of the bag was good. two separate compartment for camera & personal items. + it has tripod holder and rain cover... but never used for a single time.:dunno:

traded with Nova 3 AW + topup.:thumbsup:

The stupidest cam gear I ever bought is the cam itself.

I shouldn't have started photography in the first place. I should have saved all those money and buy a landed property somewhere in Bukit Timah, instead of staying in a 4-room HDB flat.

After that, I may even have leftover cash to buy myself a BMW 7 Series, instead of taking public transport.

Just like my wife always tell me: "Why you keep buying another stupid lens/camera?"
