And btw, feel free to email / msn me if you find that the things i said is untrue. I dont normally post / visit clubsnap. And I will be more than willing to give you some... insight? No no, just some mild introduction to one of my favourite manga :)

Hihi Angel zhou Thanks for ur comments...I dun read the manga...Only watched the movie, and well from what I know misa's outfit is usually more to the lolita punk kindda look correct me if I'm wrong...

Hmm...Since u're the winner of misa cosplay...How bout showing me ur outfit den I can do more accurate improvements to my outfit.

not to spoilt your reputation but this is an UNOFFICIAL image of misa amane aka FAN ART.

But looking at the sample picture of her 'attempt to dress up as amane misa', i hope you ( or the girl in the picture in this case ) do more research before claiming anything. It's not that hard to key in "Death Note" "Amane Misa" in google to get an official image that can be used as trustable resources.

It would be more apprioriate if you describe it as "Amane Misa inspired" or something like that. I just cannot imagine Amane Misa wearing that shoes! And btw, she carry the wrong 'book'. That book is belong to her fiancee, Yagami Raito =) Amane Misa's book title is written in Shinigami language.

The attire/shoot we are doing is more towards the Death Note movie rather than manga. You are right to say that I should put inspired by Misa Amane for the manga photo, but the attire in question here is more towards cosplaying the attires wore by Erika Toda, the actress portraying Misa in the Death Note 1 & 2 movies.

Anyway, I would definitely like to know more about cosplaying with regards to Death Note manga from you. Maybe you can show a photo of your best Misa works? Since it has won competition before, according to a fellow CSer who mentioned earlier in this thread, I believe it would definitely be an eye-opener for us. :)

Thanks for your feedback.

dominant => Azhou really does a mean Misa.. If you'd like to take a look at Azhou's Misa, just go look for any proper comic/manga version of Amane Misa. Azhou was faithful enough to reproduce 80%-90% of the attire.

A cat is a warmblooded animal, a dog is also a warmblooded animal, but a cat is not a dog. Hmmm "lolita/punk kinda look" doesn't mean as long as it's "lolita/punk kinda look" it's Misa. That's why, if wearing a "lolita/punk kinda look" clothes, it's better to call it Amane Misa-inspired clothing. Better still, you might just wanna call it "lolita/punk kinda look".

High time we the photographers/consumers here demand higher standard. I just love the cat and dog analogy.
