Hi all,

I've searched this forum before and happen to come across a few threads with the similar topic but frankly, nobody seems to have mentioned any studio that are available for rental, that has such set up.

I'm looking for a studio (studio for rental, not looking for photographer) with backdrops that can be used for graduation shoot. Lighting is a plus definitely. I wonder if anyone has any idea or lobang for such studio?

Thanks in advance :)

Broadway?

but not sure they rent you the studio or not since they have in house photographers.

They will NEVER rent you their studio for your own photoshoots.

What kind of backdrops do you need? the ones with fake books? or muslin?

If muslin I know a couple studios which offers dyed muslin apart from the standard paper background. For those fake books background you really have to call around. Or you can consider buying that background, it is not very expensive.

Yeah, they could generate a few hundreds to a few thousands dollars of sales with the studio, why would they want to rental out the studio for thirty fifty bucks an hour? lol

check out the Commercial Services Offered section, call up the studio to find out do they have what you are looking for.

anyway, if you are shooting for fun, that we can understand, else you will not save much by everything DIY, unless you are very confident you can shoot any time better then the photographers from portrait studios.

Thanks for the advice daredevil123 and catchlight. :) I understand on the cost involved in those portraiture but I believe it'll be fun doing it DIY. I'd hope to be able to find a studio that offers such backdrops (hopefully, including furniture and lightings if possible). I'd definitely hope to be able to match up with those photographers from portrait studios, but for the time being, just consider chipping up money with friends and take some graduation portrait of mine and my classmates around XD

camerabiz provides lightings but not creative setups. You'll probably have to bring your own furniture, at best they can provide you is a sofa or chair. Nothing fancy.

You can try camwerkz...have done a ton there but you gotta ask about the colored backdrops. Last i went i only used black which they provide, Not sure about the stained ones that I see often in graduation photos.

Camwerks is great in that they have a very very wide white background (the wall with the curvature). But what TS is looking for, I do not think Dan have at camwerks.
