Great photos. For street photography, I believe going closer would be better, but of course that's my personal opinion.

Maybe not as close as Magnum's Bruce Gilden.

Nonetheless, great effort!

the best advice is to always keep a lookout...
there's always nice light falling on some interesting spot somewhere.
it';s up to you to discover it and capture it
