Love your stuff! This shows you don't need pro cameras to take great pictures. Can't wait to see more of your shots. ;)

Hmmm notice that some of your shots were taken at marsiling and woodlands interchange?

Man~ that is a good way to motivate oneself to do the hardest thing in life.
Great street shots, specially some of the close-ups, even through LX3 do not have a great zoom in.

Thanks! Yea the short zoom range means you gotta move in close to get the pic. I think that's quintessential of this genre of photography.

Thanks! Yea, commuting on public transport's also part of my daily life as a student.

Actually you are not allowed to take photos in the MRT, MRT station, bus interchange and on buses...:nono: I sent an email to SMRT last month to ask about that.

oh really. Did they specifically state that photography is strictly prohibited by law(and what law if so) or is it just their verbal disapproval?

I think one of the hardest things that I find in street photography is taking photos of ppl face on. No offence to shakewellbeforeuse's photos, but I find that a lot of the pics have ppl's backs facing the camera. In case you think this is a criticism, it isn't. When I reviewed my own pics, I realised that 99% of them have ppl's backs facing me too.
I realise its usually because
a) Sometimes I feel shy
b) A lot of S'poreans are camera shy. They quickly shun me when they see me raise the camera to my eye.
I guess I haven't mastered the art of staying "invisble yet", and probably my body language is too agressive or something. I really admire those CSers here who manage to get face on shots. I feel that it is impt to face on shots most of the time as it gives the person an indentity. Unless of cse you have a theme in mind.
Maybe some of the experienced street photogs here can give their take on how they do it.
