It's a sad but true fact that Chinese street opera are in full decline in the age of the internet. Youngsters nowadays are finding entertainments online and are not interested in a art form that is steep in tradition and culture.

Gone are the days when fans would turned up with their wooden stools gave money and floral bouquets to the lead performers.

Only by moving and performing in modern theatres like the Esplanade can Chinses operas be consider a worthy art form capable of attracting the masses and hopefully slowing down the decline of this once popular entertainment.
