huh?? no one is grateful that security is increased in the MRT stations? :dunno:

although nothing is 100% foolproof, having an extra pair of eyes to look out for suspicious behaviour is definitely a positive step.

perhaps when they stroll over, notice the bag you are carrying and demanded a look-see, you just tell them it's a bomb and that if you unzip the compartment, it's rigged to blow. they can probably install metal detectors in the gantry gates lor, if they really want to do up the security....

practical :think: + efficient + no invasion of privacy + no idiots staring at you :bigeyes: = no problem...

Sure.. metal detectors... great idea... ;p and who would man the metal detectors? A WTMD (Walk Through Metal Detector) require 2 person to properly operate it.

So if you have only one gantry, imagine the long Q and if you have multiple gantries, then you would need to multiply it by 2 for every gantry in place. That would mean ~alot~ more manpower.

Seriously, lame or not, everyone can scoff and roll their eyes when it comes to being "inconvenienced" but one day, if an attack does happen, i can bet you someone would actually pip up and ask, why wasn't there guards deployed to randomly do spot checks?

It's all fine and dandy when everything is safe and nothing goes wrong. Everyone starts thinking how "inconvenient" it is to be checked or not have dusbins but once something does happen, these would be the same vocal group that jumps up and down, asking why wan't anything done in the first place to prevent the occurance of such an incident...

Lets face it, there will not be a perfect plan or one that would please everyone...

Now, if you do, your mind is already been brainwashed and if you see an approaching guard, what with you do next? You will detonate whatever explosive you have on you... you don't think an expert to tell you this. :devil:
