Hi,
I recently purchased a Contax IIIa rangefinder. I love it, and I'm having a blast using it (both the meter and shutter are accurate!). However, I do have a question regarding storing it.
Currently I have it in a well fitting camera bag, sitting on its side. Is this appropriate? Or should rangefinders be stored sitting on their bottoms to prevent any kind of rangefinder misalignment (especially in such an old camera)?
Also, how do I prevent 'Zeiss bumps'? The camera I have has flawless leatherette and I want to make sure it stays that way. Is it an issue with humidity and corrosion? I have some silica bead packs in my camera case to absorb any sort of moisture.
Thank you, I appreciate the help.
