Stopmotion Animation

Here's my latest finished stopmotion short. It took me nearly 2 months to finish, some 100 hours in total. Which feels much for a clip of 52 seconds. :)

There's a man sitting in the forest. He notices that the time has passed and gets all philosophical about it until, the end, that is.
A small dialogue from Shakespeare's 'As you like it' play prompted me to this idea. I used it to practise my animation and lip syncing skills.

Comments are appreciated :embrass:

Noticed some flickering of shadow between frames

must be hard to manipulate the clay.

=)

That's funny at the last part. Nice try!

very interesting, thanks for sharing.
the flicking issue is very easy to deal with it, but the jerking is more of a serious problem here.

Thanks for the positive comments and crits.:)
The jerking of the camera was intentionally. The reason for this was that I as an amateur could only work on the projects in the weekends. So every weekend I had to fix the set on the diners table attach the lighting (hence some changes in shadows etc.) and fix my camera with a tripod. Since it is impossible to get the same shot I had the weekend before I made scenes of 3 to 5 seconds which I could animate in a day. The next weekend I made a different shot so there wasn't any tiny jerking but only large ones.
I don't think myself this was working out great in the end. But until now I don't know how else to tackle this. If anyone has a good idea how to make better shots for continuity, a book, blog or article
where I can read more about this I would appreciated it.
Cheers

haha i can understand the pain of doing stop motion, best is to clear 1 scene at 1 go!
