God knows how i lost consciousness.

I was snapping at the premiere of a talk show airing in Star World, Asia Uncut.
THANK-GOD-FULLY, it was not a paid shoot.

And no alcoholic beverage was consumed.
maybe spiked, health disorder, etc... don't know.

The place is just beside Heeren. Emerald Hill.
H*w| @ th3 m**n bar.
last thing i did was to snap a friend's foto, and next thing i know... i woke up in SGH the next morning at 9am.
freaky man.

do take extra precaution when you're snapping at pubs, bars, etc.
OMG...One hell of a master plan....Sorry for you...

this got me thinking.. i've bought and sold so many stuff from BnS, how many of them are stolen goods? normally i'll delete off the person's phone number a few days after the deal to make space for more sms on my hp… what if I sell something that I bought 2nd hand and the new owner realise it's a stolen good…. the trail will end at me la since I no longer have the hp no. of the guy who sold it to me...... sweat....

thank-GOD-fully i didn't bring my whole bag.
just a set hanging on my neck.
*but tt is enough to kill my accounts*

event has been updated, confirm no cctv and what nots bro.
gan sianz. but life goes on.
shoot more, and drink from toilet tap if i have to.
:bsmilie:
I guess next time have your own water bottle inside your bag? Or maybe drink a little before stepping inside the show. I invested in a Lowepro Flipside 300 for security reasons. Because it opens from the inside, there are no zips on the out side to open.

I always keep the details of the person whom i bought my stuff, for at least 2 years.

But you only have a mobile number. Would that really help?
The thief would even bring it overseas to sell it.
That's why sometimes I've bad feeling when consider buying Lens/DSLR body (w/o proper purchase receipt) from Overseas photographers who comes to singapore for a while.

Sorry to hear abt ur lost bro, btw r u Habib....? from FJC....?

Everywhere is not safe.

If you lost your items, shouldn't you to be blame instead of Singapore?

You are not very helpful with your comments. :nono:

Wow. This is very freaking. And this will lead to more Events Shooters to take note.

Really sorry to hear about your massive loss and hope that everything can be recovered.

mobile number is more than enough for local sellers. police can easily trace. even pre-paid card, u are required to submit ID before buying. for top up card i'm not sure, but the number is the same as the original card.

I can't imagine the ordeal you had to go through, and I can't believe that it actually happened at a commercial event. Where were all the people when you fainted??! This is really crazy. I really must salute you for maintaining your cool, if it was me, I would've lost my mind. I really hate thieves

Er ... what good is any bag if the owner's drink was spiked and he lost consciousness?

Anyway, to TS, a great loss indeed. Hope the police can recover your loss :)

Then again, do you really know what happened? How can your drink be spiked if it was unreachable in the first place.

what i usually do when i buy a 2nd hand equipment is this: I would test the lens and take a photo of the guy who sells me. That way, its easier!

lol, i think it reminds us to use a less conspicous bag and not to sling ur camera unless bo pian have to use.. And that fellow who stole ur camera must be whack, instead of helping, he/she scooted off with ur equipment..

Sorry for ur loss, bro.. Hope u will recover all the things u lost intact.. :)

Yes, the postpaid or prepaid sim card must be registered with an IC. But do you think the Police will really go and trace to track the thief with just the mobile number?
If I'm not wrong they will only record your item as LOST ITEM rather then stolen or robbed item.

Woah. Sorry to hear of your loss. I've lost a 30D before to a theft, so I know your pain. Hope the guy gets apprehended soon.

but you could upgrade to a 1D :bsmilie:

TS:

i think i will be more concern with ur health then ur monetary lost... why did u faint? did u didnt drink anything then how can u be spiked? .. better find out.. fainting suddenly like that is no joke..

dont worry about the item loss.. its just money, u can earn it back..

well, if someone discovers a person trying to flog the stolen item online, action can be taken. i know of people who caught bike thieves trying to sell the bike online. but dun think this is related directly to tracing the HP.

they reported police, then when someone spotted the item online, they confronted the seller and had him arrested:thumbsup:

of course, the item must surface somewhere again, in order for it to be recovered/and or the thief caught
