Stock, AF-S DX VR Zoom-Nikkor 18-200mm

I was quoted $1280 from MS Color for the AF-S DX VR Zoom-Nikkor 18-200mm and have to wait for the stock to come in.

Anyone knows which camera shops have ready stock of the zoom lens and their prices ?

On the Nikon price guide, latest price is $1230 at Bargain City.

i was quoted 1125 w/o gst at DG marketing at lucky plaza. its like damn low la...under 1.2k..thought i heard wrongly..you want can go and double check again..they had at least 3 pieces last week

Go to TK Foto I believe they have stock but not sure about price.

Sometimes repeated patronage of a particular shop will guarantee that in the long run you will almost always get a very good price, better service, reservations, etc...

Just a thought. Ok enough of the OT, you can check out Mustafa :bsmilie: Prices may not be the best, but I definitely saw 2 pieces there 1 weekend ago.

The lens you mentioned, and the 18-200, are in totally different leagues altogether.

Ya but even I were to get 18-200mm, I will be using like 18-100mm most of the time unless travelling. So might as well get a sharper shorter ones cos I already have a 70-300mm VR.

The only reason to get the 18-200mm is the convenient of not changing lens when travelling.

I later asked why,
they said because by then new lenses will be released and 18-200VR price will drop.
I was shocked.
When i wanted to get,
they said that must queue for few months.
But if I jump queue and take from the 2 left in his shelf,
it will be 1300!
when i requested to put my name down,
he said that is not necessary as I can do it when its near the re-stock date.
I was like.....:sweatsm:

I am in Taipei and practically all shops here are carrying them now. Stock should be plentiful now in Singapore as well unless someone is manipulating the market.

I went down to Cathay Photo(Peninsula) yesterday and was quoted $1380.

Got an email quote from OP a few days ago...in stock at $1230 (can be lower if payment is cash/nets), made in Japan lens with International warranty....wow...was so tempted but am buying the 17-50mm 2.8 instead (Tamron...am not worthy of the Nikon 17-50 yet methinks!).

I think all this hype about this lens being out of stock, so high demand etc etc is all hogwash...this lens is no longer the hot hot cake it used to be ages ago...look at the b&s...sellers are doing upzzz uppzzzzz & upzzzzzzzzzzz for 8-10days to get a sale...spoke to one seller a month ago who was even considering at letting go at $1000 for a fast deal

I called bargaincity and they have readily stock. Quoted me $1230 with GST which I found them to be one of the cheapest.
