yes, excellent shot! the contrast is really well executed on three levels...the bright faces vs the black bg, caucasian vs asian, joy vs sadness.

yup, that's the beauty of sharing posts with friends here. i like the way zaren gives fresh perspectives to our works. a picture does say a thousand words to each person!

we might have 'themes' but really, a great part of the joy is seeing how the individual viewers react to the pictures as they see them, not because we 'tell' them to see it that way.

somehow this reminds me of a photo i saw in some old photography books about the 19th century greats in photography. Its got a nice mood setting to accompany the reflection, texture and contrast. :thumbsup: Maybe, what is lacking is just a subject in the reflection?:dunno: just my two cents worth bro. but nonetheless, i like this pic.

It would be perfect if the sun and whatever pattern that has a distinct and random shape rather than just squarish highlight area - however i like the 'after the rain there is a sun' thingy shown.
