Great, I like this better than the previous versions actually. I need to get here soon... So many places to go, so little time.

Thanks, I actually like the previous shot (Day time one) better than this. :p

Ahaha.. Yes, I have a strong preference for twilight shots, so there's some bias there. Both are nice in their own way.

One Day At Lorong Halus

3 Image HDR/DRI using GND 0.9 soft. Lorong Halus, Singapore.

So it's back to my good ol' 7D again. Here's another part of Lorong Halus that I wanted to explore during this time of the year.

The Unreachable End

3 Image HDR/DRI 2x2 4 image vertorama + panorama using GND 0.9 soft. Lorong Halus, Singapore.

Second shot of the series. Didn't shoot much around the area unfortunately as I had some errands to run during the day. Will come back again. I must say, this is an amazing place.

UPDATE: Fixed chromatic aberrations at right side.

I like #256 better as it's more proportionate, #257 seems like it's right heavy, but nonetheless good work!

Thank you, MachBot. :) I agree as well. The right is just heavy and I wished I came much earlier where the sun would be slightly more to the left, balancing the scene.

City Beat

2 Image HDR/DRI, 21 image 7x3 multi-row panorama sing GND 0.6 soft. Collyer Quay, Singapore.

Many thanks for Landscape Hunters and gang for inviting over to shoot this view. This is my first time up here, and I'm loving it.

Done entirely just with the ballhead and manual panning, wish I could invest in a pano-head setup for multi-row shots like these.

Initial plans were to include the entire Ocean Financial Centre building (Right side) including the roads and its complete roof, but apparently the shot ended up rather "busy", so I've decided to crop to this view as I want viewer concentration to this area. Initial plans also called for smoothed light trails, but I wanted a sense of movement, so quick 1 second shots of trails were captured in succession instead.

UPDATE: Fixed distortion on left side + several fixes.

#258 is simply amazing Stefan
You're right, the almost-trails give it a touch more vibrance

Wow! I am astounded by these shots! After O levels next month I am going to start doing some landscape photography. I think i'll try Kranji Way first, always been there and the view at golden hour is really breathtaking.

Nice one. Favourite one I've seen from this location. :)

Thanks everyone. Glad you guys liked it. Thank you all so much!! :D

Path of Bukit Panjang

2 Image HDR/DRI 4x2 8 image Multi-row panorama. Bukit Panjang, Singapore.

School ended late and I kinda missed the blue hour. Well, I figured since I haven't been shooting a night scene for a long time I figured I give a try.

My first time being in this area, this place has indeed tons of photographic opportunities. I believe where I'm standing is the same place where alot of photographers have been talking about, but there's more to Bukit Panjang than this POV alone, which I've explored a little bit after shooting this.

hmm Stefan, i guess you can also try heading 2 blocks up for a more holistic view.

Thanks man!! I have explored later parts of the area as well and took some shots of them. Will upload them sometime! :)

9 Little Stones

2 image HDR/DRI using GND 0.9 soft + ND 0.9 for smoothed water effect. Lower Peirce Reservoir, Singapore.

It's again since sometime I've been to Lower Peirce. Such a relaxing evening especially after a jog.

UPDATE: Reduced saturation by 12%.

5 Little Stones

2 Image HDR/DRI using GND 0.9 soft. Upper Peirce Reservoir, Singapore.

Same as the previous, but an alternate angle to face the reddish sky. Last one from the series; wanted to shoot more but the light died and the flood gates were opened, making water splashes. Wanted to shoot the mini-waves that land on these little stones but the light was really bad soon after and pictures turned out to be really noisy and grainy.

Then I realised... Wait a minute, this is the EOS 7D. Not the phenomenal Sony A99 that I used the last time.

The Magic Spindle

Single Image RAW + ND 0.9 to achieve 400s for smoothed trail effects. The Singapore Flyer, Singapore.

This is a retake of the previous version I did quite sometime back in which I am terribly unhappy with it: http://www.flickr.com/photos/_stefano_/6581340443/

Shot this for a school project. Not sure why the flyer came to mind, but I guess I just wanted to play with long exposure. This was shot around 7.15 - 7.30pm; I wanted a little bit of leftover blue from the evening's twilight skies for this to work.

Lovely #258!

I had spent at least 15-20minutes enjoying every details in the frame...well done Stefan!

Thank you guys, I'm glad you liked it! Anyway I'll be scared if someone stared at my work for a loooong time. My mind would say, "oh no, what did I do wrong? There must be a lot of mistakes!" :bsmilie:

One Colourful Evening

3 Image HDR/DRI, 3 Image panorama to relief right side spatial tightness using GND 0.9 soft + GND 0.6 soft for higher tonality of the skies + ND 0.9 for smoothed water and cloud effects. Changi Beach, Singapore.

Went with a friend, and it's also been sometime since I been to Changi. I was blessed to be greeted with an awesome sunset.

Seeing there were a few fellow shooters in the area as well, I was confined to this particular POV when the fire sky started all of a sudden. What would you do if the sky turned like this suddenly? Shoot, NOW, before it's gone.

The sky and the environment glowed so red that in the original RAW, I had to custom adjust the colour temperature in Photoshop to neutralise the scene. In reality (Especially when I was standing there) it appeared more red than it is here.

Nice colors! I do find the composition a tad left-heavy though - everything that grabs attention seems to be there, from the close-up rock with those textures, the dominant midground large rock, and even the dash of color. A bit of a nit, but the spot between the large rock in the distance and cluster on the right seems unnaturally bright as well, I would personally dial down the exposure/brightness there a wee bit.

Nice shots from LP Reservoir. Haven't been there in a while. I think that's from a while ago? I seem to have caught those clouds when I was checking out an Ang Mo Kio viewpoint seen a while ago from your stream. :)
