Actually, try 70mins  I've seen ppl tape the button, try that tonite and see.

It's good to bring a small torch and color the bulb/glass red, easier to read the LCD and save cam batt for the shoot.

I've posted some star trails at
http://forums.clubsnap.org/showthread.php?t=134627
all taken with my 10D
Based on my tests and photos taken etc, I do agree that film will be nicer with less noise etc, but DSLR is perfectly suitable too. I think the foreground subject is very important in a nice star trail shot, and a DSLR helps with previewing the exposure of the subject etc :)

locking device it has, at the base of the trigger its located, turn it you must, activate locking device it will.

Shouldn't it be....

Kill 1 Shoot 1

ha ha ha.

anyway, guys, the sky looks really cloudy, not sure if it will clear up in time for us to shoot star trail. I suggest to postpone the shoot (But I will still be going since I already carry 2 tripods with me). If you so decide to try you luck, can contact me @ 92388366.

so how did it turn out yesterday? any nice pic?

i stay at work OTed until like 7.. so how did it turn out? I think the skies quite clear last night :D

just reached home, u all fly plane sia... only me n dennis there

just reach home, shot with quekky,

@ the field next to Kadaloor LRT, I did a 2hr exposure with 2 camera, 1 with 24mm, the other 16mm fisheye. quekky and alvin (correct?) change lens after the 1st hrour not sure what lens they used.. wanted to shoot in the general direction towards north, but there are some strong lighting at that direction. so pointed upwards shooting the sky instead.

after that, went up the the garden ontop of a nearby multi-story carpark. nice place, but not good for shooting star trail. even so, we took afew test shots and rest.

about 0430hr, went back down to take another at the field, 1hr exposure.

after the exposure, we saw the crescent moon (for the 1st time through out the night). decided to try shoot the moon and its reflection over at the canel, but there was no reflection (cant go right down to the water line on the canel bank cause too slippery). so just shoot the moon and canel, later shoot sunrise.

that all folks. will arrange for another trip to punggol, now kana short by the star trail bug. ha ha ha.

see you guys @ 1500hr @ SSF COSPLAY, stage A.

Wah... !! was the skies clear or not??
