I stack my star trails in digital.. so no prob with mild light pollution.

The problem is not about getting the trails. it's about having an interesting foreground to the pic.

why don't you peeps take star trails using Film? it involves less hassles ( go through those stackings,noise cancellation) and in fact, i felt that film quality is much better then digital stacking (even though you can edit and stuffs like that).. is digital really that good ?

cos i dun own a film camera? and the fact is that my skills are really bad and I'm not confident to shoot with film.

I encountered a lot of problems doing star trails with dslr... CCD noise, hotspots..etc

Will be shooting slides for the next star trails outing now... Velvia 50 anyone?

how about this friday night @ punggol LRT Station "KADALOOR". No ineresting foreground though. unless go to the canal, but must bring insect repellant and black plastic bag incase it rains, can cover the camera bag as it is a long walk (10min) to the LRT.

The good news is that the moon is going to be only 12% full after 2am. Hope the clouds clear on time.

Alt location: Use the jetty at Punggol End for foreground. Icarus has seen it... is it doable? Can "run" to bus stop if r**n comes.

If you remembered when Yoda passed away, he too didn't leave a physical body behind.

It is a skill more powerful than any Sith.

actually the drak side is more powerfull. remember how luke strugle to fight the mushroom head? he almost lost it. count him lucky there is still abit of human in mr mushroom head.

like in real life, to get darkness, you need zero energy. but to bring light, you need energy, energy as we know is not indefinate. so who has the upper hand?
