Hi all,

I hv recently received my film for dvlpmnt from Ruby and the pics turned out green with spots. No idea where this might be from. im using a Pentax67 1 with takumar 1:2.4/105 lens. film was an iso 400 on a sunny day. cld this be the reason why? or the lens/camera? this is my first test roll from the camera. still a newbie here so any advice is appreciated thank you!

Which film did you use? Expired?

nope. film is only to expire on oct 16. i used a 120 fuji pro 400H processed with C-41. is this hw its suppose to turn out?

the film looks severely underexposed and the spots look like reflection of the pressure plate.

one possible cause is loading the film on wrong side, instead of the film emulsion facing the lens, the backing paper is facing the lens after you load the film, but that is very strange mistake to make, because you won't see the marking on paper to tell you when to stop feeding the film and close the film back.

anyway, do you get 10 exposures on this roll of film?

yes i got all 10. and im sure the film was loaded right. :/ the spots does look exactly like the film back plate. but why is it like that?

can you remember the aperture setting and shutter speed?
very unlikely to be underexposed on a sunny day unless you shot at f22, 1/1000s.

btw 2.4-5.6 :( cnt recall exactly. i figured maybe its a bad film since i bought it frm carousell. nt sure if the seller stored in fridge or not. will try again with a new portra400 & see hw it goes frm there. thank u!

even you exposure at f5.6 with 1/1000s, it will be severely overexposed under such lighting condition.

more likely is due to the film you have.

normally film shelf life is about 3-4 years, depends on types of film.

only professional grade film require to store in fridge, and process it asap after exposed.
other consumer film does not require to store in fridge.

ahhh ok. but any idea hw do i make the spots go away? it makes my photos look unclean.

To me this is the 1st time encounter. Poor colour can be film or processing but pattern from the base plate is strange. Unless don't have a backing paper, or emulsion face towards base plate.
