A potential job might be coming up on Wednesday, July 18, and I'm looking for a person to help me cover a local golf event.

It will probably be half a day (10-4 ?). I will need whatever photos you take since it will be downloaded to a slide show. Other than that, whatever photos you take is yours.

Requirements, at least a canon 400D/ equivalent or better. with that, a 70-200mm 2.8 (for out on the course) and a 17-50 2.8 or 17-40L or equivilent lens (tamron 17-50 2.8 ?) and a flash (for dinner pics).

This is an amateur event so keep in mind they are not professionals. Believe me, balls will be flying all over the place so I need you to be alert, smart, and safe. No promises, but I'm pretty sure the host will provide some food and drinks after

Pay will be S$120

For golf event, if you are travelling and shooting inside the field, my advise is and if possible get the cabby to drive you around to take images. Which I used to do that .. as the cabby known where are the dangerous area and able to advise you on that

Running around on your own IS a BIG RISK since the balls got no eyes and if injured, who is going to pay for the medical fees and what about insurance coverage ?

For your own safety, please be awared of these.

no one will be running around

i understand where you are coming and i appreciate your concern for csers, super. but i gotta say in keeping things real, i think we all know how it works here. i mean if someone does a side gig for 50$ cash i doubt they gonna claim it on their taxes? i mean realistically, we can even get hurt doing a ROM shoot correct...fall down the stairs, break our head, break our equipment...i think more people have fallen down stairs then gotten struck by a golf ball.

however, it's safe to say these guys will not be providing any insurance...so if that is a concern, then let this one slide by and be careful around stairs, curbs, and cracks in sidewalks.
