hahaha! i'm also inspired naming some photos by dot... dot... dot.... and single letters when i have seen these...:sweatsm:

peace bro...:D

:bsmilie: Billy!

At times, find it difficult to title the image, thus, using the symbols are much more easier...:bsmilie:

BTW, had start naming and sharing the places....

My bad, some of the images are taken outside Spore and hope you guys dont mind as do not wish to start another thread...:)

Cheers and happy viewing!

To all of you guys! :)

Love this :)
I can't even begin to imagine what I'll see when I get to the exact spots you took most of these photos :bsmilie::thumbsup:

Thanks Lawrence for dropping by and liking it...:)

Normally I will go wide to see the surrounding and once I get a point that I wanted, I will try isolate the main object using zoom lens, frame it, screw in the ND and then hit the shutter..

While the captured image being processed to the CF, I will move to other location to save time and not to miss out on the 'light'...

Cheers!

[Upper Pierce Reservoir]

Image is pretty much underexpose and short of bout 100sec; judging from the drastic light changes as shooting a near sunset...

Had the exposure metered and calculated correctly but as the light changes too fast and I had totally forget to multiply the exposure, there is nothing much I can do but wait till time finish processing to the CF..by the time, the overall process finish, its already dark...lolz!

I would say another failure but I do love the movement from the clouds...a little gradient added on top and bottom to make it more dramatic..

Thank you for dropping by..

I see... I particularly find the texture of the sea of #26/29 (I assume it is) really interesting... looks almost wood like.

The sea is pretty rough at that point of shooting and exposure time is only 25~30sec. Increasing the exposure to >60sec will makes it looks smoother but cant due to bright sunny day..:)

#30 - i dont find it particularly under exposed. It is nice as is. The cloud movement is indeed nice.
#31 - did you remove the land in the horizon?

Image above inspired by Ross from my flickr contact on his work in the compositional challenges of this format poses to the photographer and what compositions work (and don't).

His work is cropping but here, am preserving the square format and using gradient as cropping..hope it works....

What do you guys think?

Thank you for dropping by and glad you like #30...:)

Yep, for #31, I clone off the land and I did it on most of the work that captured at reservoirs...

But lately, I just become too lazy and just had it as it is...

Thanks for the inspiring shots! after so much poison from CS from smooth creamy water photos, i had to come across your thread. kind of like adding venom haha.

I tried a ND4 filter for my honeymoon but it's not strong enough to give me the extra exposure time needed, so i finally bought myself a ND400 last week, but have not have the chance to try it out except in my room, with the only moving object being myself.

not easy managing this filter i think, while i noted the need to prefocus, using MF, multiply exposure time by around 512 secs, i'm not sure if my 400D can handle the eventual image clarity well (some of my long exposure shots are quite grainy, and i still haven't cleaned the spots on my sensor). hope to try it out soon with some real moving water!

Happy new year!
