I agree, there's too much whining here.

Shoot it if you want but do know what you're going into. If this shoot do go ahead, the TS can easily save at least a few $K. for models, make up artisan, stylist, studio cost and photographer ( my last whole day shoot shooting fruits cost my client $2K ). So who is the biggest winner in this " win-win " suitation?

In fact, if I may add, anyone who can command $$$ for his services, as a model, makeup artist, art director, creative director, photographer, etc. would probably know about the market rates and the market practices, I don't think they need any of us to tell them what is a good deal and what's not a good deal.

For those who are sotong about market rates and the market practices, clearly they can't command anything right now, so if they go for this shoot, what have they got to lose?

As what I have said earlier, I am open to all terms and conditions and I am not trying to suck the photographers dry.

If everyone wants to charge money for a TFCD deal, that I suppose that I can start charging the photographers a copyright and trademark fee to use our products for your photo shoot. And then the models can also claim the right to charge for their services. Then every party starts charging every party, and it will not be called TFCD anymore. If you want to start talking about market rate then I don't think it is called TFCD.

I started this thread because I bumped into other threads and notice that some photographers will be looking for product sponsors every now and then. And it is a great opportunity for photographers to shoot prestigious brand name products, and build their portfolio. That's why I had this idea of sponsoring our lingerie for photo shoots. Tell me, if I don't get to use the photos (with the permission of the photographer), then whats the use of company giving away their products for FREE? What does the sponsor usually get when they sponsor YOU photographers?

I agree with what yqt has proposed. This can be done by providing rights to a fixed amount of uses to the images, and then pay a flat rate in regards to the different media. If there's nothing in return for the sponsor, why would the company sponsor products in the first place?

Thank you for all your interest. At present, I already have enough photographers, models, and event sponsors to work on this project. Therefore, I would like to end this thread. For those who I think that is suitable, I will be getting back to you shortly.

Thanks for all your comments that shooting lingerie is an intimate affair and cannot be done in big groups. And there might also be some tee-koh-pek out there who just want to take advantage of this opportunity to ogle. Therfore, we will be screening the photographers and making sure that such thing will not arise. We will also be selecting those selective few who can be able to suit our company's style. I can only sponsor a limited amount of lingerie.

If I didn't reply you, I am really sorry about that. Hope to work with you next time.

as for whining and complaining about cheapskates and demanding apologies you might want to read with what context that was used.
for some reason youre either misreading or cant read my posts, deliberately or otherwise.

what was offered in this thread was advice, not whining [you might like to learn what it really means and apply it appropriately]. i can continue this if you so prefer but it seems some people are destined to never learn from their mistakes.

Your forgeting those who do this to get better, get some good shots and have a laugh. Plus, this may be what some of us want to do, but havnt got the time to find sponsors and organise, paid jobs have no flexibility in content.
