jacob (and his incarnations) will no longer be welcomed in ClubSNAP so long as he persists to flout our rules and guidelines and continues to taunt the Moderation team.

He was given an opportunity (in fact, was given a few opportunities) to work with us and not against us, however, he continues to ignore our attempts to reconcile and instead goes outside of ClubSNAP to spread malicious untruths in other forums, making us out to be the "bad guys".

Here is my private message to Jacob and Larry (aka photobum/kopiokaya) more than 8 days ago :-

Hi Jacob,

I note with dismay that there still persists a mindset that we are hindering your efforts in organising gatherings and related activities in ClubSNAP when the truth is far from that - we do appreciate the efforts made to coordinate activities for members with like-minded interests.

However, we do insist that such activities follow our guidelines (established and/or revised) and that there is no potential appearance or attempt to circumvent what we have set in place.

Above all, we truly appreciate openness and discussion with us on what the group plans to do, and we will throw in support and provide official sanction if need be. What irks the Moderation team the most is the repeated ignorance (whether perceived or real) of what we have advised in the past (reference the Photoshop gathering as example) and in the recent thread for the newbies.

If you wish to continue participating in ClubSNAP, we ask that you respect our guidelines and work with us, otherwise, please feel free to move on and I will deregister your account.

I followed up with a reminder message a few days later, and I have yet to hear back from jacob - and I know for a fact that he has been active and reading/sending messages thus he chose to ignore my messages.

Thus his implications that he was not able to contact us is totally misleading as all this time, we have been waiting to hear from him.

We bear no malice against those that wish to organise their own "groups" within ClubSNAP and indeed we welcome the opportunity to work with them - witness the very successful TangShooter group - but we draw the line when there is a clear breach of our guidelines and even more so when there are repeated attempts to circumvent our set rules in pursuit of what we can only assume is for own personal gain (be it monetary or otherwise).

Actually, to my understanding from Jacob, he is going to reply your PM this weekend (probably today if he was not being deregistered). We were discussing about this issue over lunch on Wednesday. He said he needed some time to think over this, and if possible, comes up with a win-win proposal for both parties.

Now that you guys have deregistered him, how do you expecting him to contact you? Through me, on his behalf?.... :dunno: No way Jose.... That is the last thing I will do. Jacob and I are different beings. There are time when I do not agree with him. Therefore, it is better to listen to his reply directly from him.

It seems like that is impossible to do now.

As for me, I do not anticipate to see myself staying on CS for long either. Reason is simple. I will be joining Jacob and help him organize those workshops. (No, I don't expect to see myself driving a BMW or Audi soon), BUT I know for sure that I am serving the photography community in Singapore (be it Clubsnap or ************), and promote photography education (I have a MFA degree in Photography, so I think I am more than qualify to teach the subject). So, do the 'very successful' Tangshooter group conducts educational photography workshops and lessons for its members?

And finally, regardless whether or not I will be deregistered by the mod or yourself, again, I have the intention to continue my community work for all the Fujifilm Finepix Users Network (F.U.N.) members and its activities. After all, isn't that one of the main reasons I cited to you for coming back to CS not long ago? I will just do it in ************. Members just have to check over 'the other forum' for OUR outings and workshops.

Our purpose, hereby, is to serve the photography community, all Fujifilm users and photographers in Singapore. We believe in the upgrading of photography knowledge (software), and not just the equipment (hardware). Monetary-gain is definitely not our primary goal. After all, both Jacob and I have full-time jobs earning much more than we organizing these workshops alone. Why should we waste our time doing all these when both of us could have spend more time with our families? Both of us have wives, toddles and young children at home. Despite this, we still allocate our time to do all these for the photography community.

Anyway, let's not OT here further since this is our F.U.N. T-shirt forum. Maybe it is time for the Admin and Mods to have a discussion session with both Jacob and myself over kopi O and kaya toast. Don't worry, our treat.

Yes, the Admin and Moderators teams will do what is right and good for ClubSNAP community.

Rules and Regulation are set by the Admin and Moderators, users are expected to follow and respect our House Rules.

The Admin Darren has given Jacob enough time to reply to his PM. If Jacob wanted to reply and needed more time, he would have PM Darren and request for an extensions. The lesson here is, if you want someone to respect you, you have to respect their House Rules.
