If I'm looking for entry level Digital Camera that is <S$300, what are the options and recommendation?

As the budget is main priority, I guess I can't expect too much from the rest, except to hope for a 2M pixel.. is it possible?

Any feedback will be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Welcome to Clubsnap.

Anyway, regarding the camera you are looking for, the only one that comes to mind for me at this moment is the Canon Powershot A40. Should be around the region of SGD$440 but there are members here selling it 2nd hand.

Sorry for being so "fussy pot" but is there a kinda DC that will fit my budget ? AT MOST will bring it up to S$700

please advice which camera i should be aiming for?

These are just a few basic factors that usually governs the choices of new DC buyer but it's by no means complete. If you have a requirement that isn't stated above, feel free to include it in your own posting.

After deciding which are the more crucial factors, the next time is to narow down you field of choice. This where you post to ask for recommandations as well, opinion of various makes and models if you already have some in mind.

Do realise that here is no such thing as a perfect camera because each will have it's pros and cons and it's up to you, as the buyer to see what you can or canot live with. After reading the recommandations and narrowing down your choices, it will be helpful if you were to go down to a camera shop of your own preference or choice to try out these cameras and see if it's abilities lives up to your expectations.

Well, good of you to post all the relavent criteria but you might want to narrow it down a tad bit. But right now, looking at what you want, i would say a 2nd hand Canon G2 would suit your purpose quite well...

If anyone else has a recommandation or wish to correct anything, feel free to jump right in.

09. autofocus speed not that essential to me

Heard Canon A40 or Nikon 3500 not bad...
would the above be suitable or got other good options too?

Well, the S602 sounds like a good choice,
as well as the Canon PowerShot G3.


Go down to your own preferred Camera retailer and have a hands on to get a feel for the camera.
