SP/LP problem

not sure if this is the right place to post this. recently my camcorder SP/LP jumps back and forth during playback mode, mostly stuck in SP when playing and returns to LP when stopped. causing distortions in the video when playing. Anyone experience the same thing before and how can it be solved?

Sounds like it is set to record in LP but the playback tape was previously recorded in SP. Try setting the cam to record in SP and see if the same thing happens. You should try to avoid LP mode in future because it is more trouble than it is worth.
