[soulFLY] - Wandering in Central Honshu

Nice work Thomas.
If only the red structure in #2 could be larger...

Thanks Raymond!

Yep, I wish it could be larger though but I only have 17-40. :)

[ Tokyo Tower & Cityscape ]

Visited Roppongi Hills hoping that the rain does not starts to pour but as we caught in the traffic jam, the rain starts and I was rather dissapointed. Nevertheless, I made my mind to go up Mori Tower to get a glimpse of Tokyo Cityscape and the Open Viewing Deck were close for the day due to strong wind and heavy rain, had to stay in. Waited for quite abit for the rain to pass by and here a shot taken when the rain does eventually stops for 3 mins.

I do like this very much and guess am too long away from color. I found it hard to obtain a great vantage point and composition with good lead-in line as the sky is totally flat and I have to wait till twillight having the car light trail as lead-in line to better the composition.

Long exposure without tripod a big headache. I only have my camera bag as a support and on top of that, need to tilt the camera to reduce the interior light reflection on the glass. A big big hassle but worth it.
Apart from that, my wife and daughter were thoughtful enough to let me hang around for quite abit up there.

[ Torii Gate - Hakone Jinja Shrine ]

Truly a beautiful place and a must visit when in Japan.

Shot were taken on the Hakone Sightseeing Boats that mimics the pirate ship and my daughter enjoyed it very much.

We are consider lucky to get a glimpse on the Mount Fuji as the clouds cleared up just abit while we on the boat ride.

[ Cinderella Castle - Disneyland Tokyo ]

Ok, I have to admit that I overdid this by turning the a happy and enjoyable park to looks spooky. ha ha...As you guys know that this is a very photogenic subject, thus, by using LE to eliminate all human elements as the human traffic is absolutely heavy. Something rare to see I guess from the usual image from Disney around the world.

No tripod were allow inside the park and I have to pay Yen300 to keep it in the locker. So, remember not to bring along tripod or monopod to park. Advisable to use Gorillapod as it will easily pass through the gates. No choice but using my camera bag as the support again and for this shot, have to lay down flat on the floor to do the composition. So, what do you think about the surrounding people will think of me? LOLZ! Crazy?! Yes!

Oh, maybe different park has its own R&R.

Thanks mate for dropping by and glad you like it too..:)

#6 is absolutely fabulous. You gave the iconic castle character, despite it being a different one.
about the tripod, yah, you didn't research it before going it? :) I knew it and did not bring my tripod. used a mini tripod instead. Be careful, these folks are trained to know what is a gorilla pod too. I brought a cheapo mini tripod so that if discovered, I would just throw it away instead of paying 300 or 600 yen.

[ Hayakawa River, Kanagawa Perfecture ]

Took the early morning oppurtunity to do serious photographing around Hakone area as my wife, daughter and friends went for a dip at nearby hot spring. Does not fancy the dip and out I go searching for something to work on.

Started with a work at nearby river. A famous one as its near the Yumoto, Hakone Tozan Railway Station.

Lovely Sunday to all! ;)
