Hi Manita, thanks for dropping by. Nope; the grain are no intention to reduce banding. Im integrating 'grain' to gives different feels to the final image.

... work taken on a windy afternoon and had to wait for awhile for the passing clouds to obtain the nice pattern and to achieve the effect I've seek.
Standing under the hot afternoon sun is not funny at all and resulting in sunburn ...​
