if u will stick to the cam for 3 years.. of course its worth... no SC worries.

if u planning to sell it after sometime... still worth cause it will certainly easier to sell with warranty...

all in all, IMO its worth to get the warranty esp with the lens promo on.. ( can sell away to cover more than half of the warranty cost... ) :thumbsup:

I bought my A100 from Sony Style and paid less there for the warranty and camera vs. anywhere else.

When I show them my pictures and also tell them that Sony makes most of Nikon's sensors it usually shuts them up.

The warranty is 3 years dude! So if you sell within the 3 year period to upgrade, it's easier to sell and at a better price.

I do agree with this.. anyway sony is extending this warranty till end of jan.. look out for YEP promo too.. and oh ya SAL2875 is a great lens.. but exp.. :bsmilie:

in DSLR world they always offer the "right value".

There are other products in which Sony is the market leader and their prices are too high... some areas include personal audio players, flat panel TVs and hifi sets...

Well, can't be helped, coz in some people's minds, Sony is an over priced brand, and maybe even for people who are showy and shallow, not for someone who is serious about photography.

[Hi.. i found out buying at sony style will get items at prices stated at web site nett but must call the branch you wish to go whether they hold that item you desire. whereas buy at retailer will end up buying higher price. they don't follow rsp. personal experience.
