It is because when the shutter release is pressed (if you screw in too hard or put the camera in a very fit bag), the battery will keep draining even it's off. I tried to remove the soft button, the draining issue seems better now but there is still quite some drainage after put the camera off for one day. Not sure anyone has the same problem here?

Got links on this, how does something that screws in ( soft release ) to the release button have anything to do with the Battery ??? Its got no exposed electronics inside... :dunno:
 

Mine has a soft release button and kept in a neoprene tight fitting pouch. Never encountered any battery drain.

Have been using this for sometime now, and loving it!

It is sharper than my old Canon full frame DSLR at 35mm F2, and has really solid low light performance that can be used in any situation. AF is very accurate and I have more keepers shots that other cameras I owned.

Strange. Maybe I need to send mine to service centre. :(
 

How have you blinged out ( modified ) your RX1 ?

For me it's adding the following :

  1. Voightlander 35mm Metal Finder - Black
  2. Gariz Leather Half Case - Black
  3. Tom Abrahamsson Mini Soft Release - Red
  4. Zeiss T* UV Filter
  5. Artisian & Artist Silk Short Strap - Natural ( off white )
  6. Aftermarket Lens hood coming in a week or so..... a bargain at $65 !!
