Not about money, but the OVF is still in the centre position and thus still not meeting my needs.

Btw, for the OVF, there are a couple of choices and no need the original Zeiss. A few of the Voigtander ones (older and newer versions) are very nice, or grab a Leica SBLOO. All are 35mm focal length and should be similar functionally.

Since u got money to burn get the optical VF. I tried xp1 thumbs up on rx1 it feels good to have extra grip but I feel half naked without evf.

Can. The OVF slot of the thumb rest quite large and long. Should fit most of the different OVF.

Just bring along the original RX1 plastic hotshoe cap to check at the common stores selling OVF, such as Chiif. The cold shoe slot of the thumb rest is same as width of the plastic cap.
