Being a Contax T and G user in the old days of film, I have longed for something similar but without the limitation of MF. I sure hope this camera can deliver for me cause I am splashing quite a hefty sum just to relive those good happy days. ;p

SLR Revo sold out. MS color stock not in yet. Others haven't check. Seems all shops having limited stocks. Most ppl should go straight to Sony style shops instead since no reduction on RRP on other shops.

There is a reduction in RRP in the usual shops if you know how to ask nicely, but most shops will maximize profits while they can. And since the RX1 is in such high demand, if you want to get a discounted price, they can easily say "nope" because there are people willing to pay full RRP

Most shops got less than 10 pieces I heard... and they haf a long waiting reservation list. Must be the bonus timing Sony targets. LOL

I think it's not about price now. I think the stocks level are low

Well for me its the price. Anything less than that 4k retail price is good. Im in no rush will prob wait till next year March to get it as i need to save up. Hopefully prices inc gst would be 3.8k in the shops.. Btw what are the prices you guys have been quoted at your favourite shops gst included ?

Sorry for the noob question, does the full-frame matter a lot compared to say, RX100, in terms of picture quality?

There is a significant difference in picture quality especially at high ISO. Whether it matters a lot or not will depend on what u use the photos for.

Mostly for kids, indoors and low light situations.
